FAG outer spherical housing

The vast majority of FAG radial outer spherical housing are fixed bearings, so they are particularly suitable for supporting short shafts and for occasions where only a small thermal expansion occurs. The slight thermal expansion of the shaft can be compensated by the axial play of the bearing.

The bearings installed in different housings are 162, 362, 562, and 762.2RSR series deep groove ball bearings, the first three series bearings have a widened inner ring. They can be secured to the shaft either with an eccentric locking ring (Series 162 and 362) or with two screws (Series 562). Oil slinger in 362 and 562 series bearings protects the bearing from large particle contamination.
